Terms of use
Draft for review by AEROCX. Replace the bracketed details with the company particulars and have it checked before launch.
1 · Who you are contracting with
The AEROCX groundschool is operated by [AEROCX legal entity], [registered address], company number [number], VAT [BE number]. Contact: [email].
2 · What we supply
Access to online study material for the EASA Basic Instrument Rating theoretical knowledge examinations: reading material, diagrams, question banks and mock papers, together with a record of your own progress. Access is personal to one named account and may not be shared, resold or used to train or supply any other service.
3 · What we do not supply
We are not an approved training organisation. We do not book examinations, issue the ATO recommendation required to sit them, provide flight instruction, or issue any licence, rating or certificate. Passing our question banks and mock papers is not a qualification and does not guarantee a pass in an official examination.
4 · Accuracy and your own responsibility
The material is written to the learning objectives published by EASA and is kept up to date with reasonable care, but it is study material and not a legal reference. Before an examination or a flight you must check the current consolidated Part-FCL, the current AMC and GM, your national authority’s examination rules, and current AIP and chart data. Operational decisions in an aircraft remain yours as pilot in command.
5 · Access period
A purchase grants access for twelve months from the date of purchase. At the end of that period the course locks; your account and your progress remain and access can be renewed at the then-current price.
6 · Payment
Payments are processed by Stripe. Prices are shown excluding VAT; the applicable VAT is calculated and added at checkout and shown on your receipt. AEROCX is the seller of record.
7 · Your account
Keep your password confidential and tell us promptly if you believe your account has been used by someone else. We may suspend access where an account is shared or where our material is copied or redistributed.
8 · Intellectual property
All text, diagrams and questions are the property of AEROCX. You may read them, print them and take notes for your own study. You may not republish, distribute, sell or incorporate them into another product or course.
9 · Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from the course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Belgian or EU consumer law.
10 · Governing law
Belgian law applies, and the courts of [jurisdiction] have jurisdiction, without affecting the rights you have as a consumer in your country of residence.
